Grassroots Outreach

Do you need a phone?
Our Grassroots Outreach program can help!

By visiting one of Grassroots Outreach locations, you can obtain a community voice mail number.  You can use this number to put on job applications, housing applications, and stay in touch with friends and family.  You can retrieve your messages from any touch tone phone.

You can also receive Lifeline supported phone service through our partner enTouch Wireless.  Eligible participants will receive  750 free monthly units of talk, unlimited text, and 100mb of data.  In order to process an application you will need to bring a state issued photo ID, proof of participation in a low-income government program such as EBT or Medicaid, and the last four digits of your social security number.  Please note, due to network upgrades we do not have any free phones available at this time.  We do have Android smart phones available for purchase for $40, and I-Phone 5s available for $85.  If you possess a 4G Verizon phone, we can also transfer service to your phone for free.

By bundling a community voice mail number with an enTouch Wireless Lifeline phone, you will have the communication tools to achieve your goals!
