By visiting one of Grassroots Outreach locations, you can obtain a community voice mail number. You can use this number to put on job applications, housing applications, and stay in touch with friends and family. You can retrieve your messages from any touch tone phone.
You can also receive Lifeline-supported phone service through our partner EnTouch Wireless. Eligible participants will receive a free monthly phone plan, which includes 1,000 minutes of talk, 500 units of text, and 100 MB of data. In order to process an application, you will need to bring a valid state-issued photo ID; proof of participation in a low-income government program (such as EBT, Section 8, or Medicaid) or proof of low-income status; and the last four digits of your Social Security number. Please note: due to network upgrades, we do not have any free phones available at this time. We offer Android smart phones available for $40. Additionally, we are able to offer a free bring-your-own-device activation, as long as the phone is 4G T-Mobile device and the applicant has the required supporting documentation.
